Chris Brown and Frank Ocean were involved in a tussle outside a
West Hollywood recording studio Sunday night, with the latter claiming he came
away with a cut finger after the altercation.
"Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys," Ocean said on
Twitter in two posts overnight. "Cut my finger now I can't play w two
hands at the Grammys."
According to TMZ, which first reported the incident, Brown was
leaving Westlake Studio when Ocean and his "crew" tried to block him
from leaving. "This is my studio,
this is my parking spot," Ocean
reportedly said.
A TMZ source says Brown then tried to shake Ocean's hand and
that's when a member of his entourage "attacked" Brown. A fight
ensued and a friend of Brown's tells the site that the "Bad Religion"
singer lunged at the other star, leading to a one-on-one altercation between
them.
"The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the
victim," the Los Angeles County Sherrif's Department said in a statement
released early Monday morning. Though Brown's victim was not identified by
police, a department source tells TMZ they are referring to Ocean as "the
victim" because he stayed at the scene and spoke to police.
In all, six people were said to be involved in the fight -- no
other participants have been identified. According to the AP, the incident is
being investigated and Brown will be contacted later for questioning, however
no arrests were made.
