MTV.COM: Demi Lovato Nursing Her 'Heart Attack' And A Broken Leg

Demi Lovato built a "Skyscraper" in 2011, and now she's ready to knock all those walls down on her upcoming album.

"Sometimes it's so much harder to get hurt than it is letting your wall down and falling in love," she told Ryan Seacrest Tuesday (February 26), days after dropping "Heart Attack," the lead single off her 2013 album. "[It's about] other situations where I felt abandoned in my life and when you open up your heart to somebody, it's a risk. And this song is about taking that risk."

Even though the track got an early release after it was leaked weeks ahead of its March 4 release date, Lovato told Seacrest, "At the end of the day, I just want my song out there."

When she isn't singing about nursing a broken heart, she's actually nursing a broken leg. The singer broke her fibula earlier this month, and in a strange way Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence played a part in her injury.

"[My roommate] did the whole floor [with Pledge]. I had this screener for 'Silver Linings Playbook.' I went to sit down. I got up for a Popsicle I came back and I slipped and fell," she recalled, noting she should be back to normal in the next three months. "And it just snapped."

Lovato also addressed speculation about whether she will return to the "X Factor." While she said she "doesn't know yet" if she'll stay on the panel, if she does return, she has no plans to go easy on Simon Cowell. "I'm kind of fearless and I'm from Texas. I say what's on my mind and I can't really hide. It's a perfect combination like me [and him]. He loves it."

With new music and a possible return to "X Factor" currently on her docket, could Lovato also make room for a love life? While she wouldn't open up about her rumored relationship with Wilmer Valderrama, she did share she does someday plan to marry... someone.

"Absolutely it just depends on when my life is ready," she said, noting she's not ready yet because her career takes up a lot of time. "I don't know if I could wait that long if I find someone."

BILLBOARD.COM: Justin Timberlake, Marcus Mumford Collaborating on 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Soundtrack

The Coen Brothers' latest film will feature 'fantastic' music, Timberlake says.

Justin Timberlake and Marcus Mumford have hit the studio together, Timberlake revealed in an interview with the UK's Capital FM.

"I did work with Marcus Mumford on the soundtrack," Timberlake said of the Coen brothers' upcoming "Inside Llewyn Davis," which also stars Timberlake and the Mumford & Sons frontman's wife, Carey Mulligan.

The pair's work will also feature the Punch Brothers and production from T Bone Burnett, who also helmed the Coens' multi-platinum "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack.

The upcoming film is a more recent look at American music, focusing on the '60s folk scene.

"I don't know any other world where we would get the opportunity to collaborate like that but it was so much fun," Timberlake said. "Not only will that be a great movie, but the music to it will be fantastic."

CBS Films has acquired the movie, which does not yet have a U.S. release date.

With his own album due March 19, the "Suit & Tie" singer also explained why his "The 20/20 Experience" tracks will be longer than radio might expect from the pop star.

"When we were making the record, I said, 'If Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin can do 10-minute songs and Queen can do 10-minute songs then why can't we?," he said. "We'll figure out the radio edits later."

BILLBOARD.COM: No Doubt at Work on New Album, Postpone Tour Plans

The group says it's on a "new pace" for its fast follow-up to 2012's "Push and Shove."

No Doubt have confirmed that they are back in the studio working on their next album. The band posted on Facebook earlier today that they have returned to Los Angeles and plan to postpone some of their 2013 touring plans so they can spend time recording new tunes.

“While we were traveling the world last year promoting 'Push And Shove,' Gwen mentioned she was inspired to write new music,” the band wrote on Facebook. “In December, around the time of our hometown shows, we discussed the idea of starting 2013 by getting back into the studio together. We did so in January and the new music started flowing with unexpected ease. After spending three years recording the last album, this new pace feels incredibly exciting.

“We have decided to follow our muse for the time being and focus on this new music that we don't want to stop. So, we will be postponing our tour plans briefly while we endeavor to create something special and inspired. Our goal as a band is to share this new music with you as quickly as possible -- both recorded and live on tour.”

'Push and Shove,' No Doubt’s first new album in over a decade, came out in September 2012, after which the group toured extensively, including a five-night bow at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre. No Doubt currently do not have any live shows announced for 2013, but promise to keep fans "updated with photos and videos from the studio.”

BILLBOARD.COM: 'Skyfall' Wins Best Song Oscar for Adele, Paul Epworth

Three first-timers won Oscars in the two music categories, Adele and Paul Epworth for best original song and Mychael Danna for original score. Adele's song was the title track to the James Bond film "Skyfall"; Dana scored "Life of Pi."

The "Skyfall" win marks the first time a song from a James Bond film has won the Oscar. Previously nominated were Paul McCartney for "Live and Let Die,"  Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager for "Nobody Does It Better," which Carly Simon performed, from "The Spy Who Loved Me" and Bill Conti and Mick Leeson for "For Your Eyes Only," which Sheena Easton recorded.

Of the last nine winners in the category, eight have been first-time nominees. Few, though, have been as a big a hit: "Skyfall" has sold 1.6 million downloads, according to Soundscan.

Danna's win is the fourth time in the last five years that the winner is a first-time nominee. Last year went to Ludovic Bource and "The Artist"; Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won for the 2010 film "The Social Network."

Also in the winning column at the ceremony was "Searching for Sugar Man," which took home best documentary and yet more accolades for its subject, the re-discovered folk musician Rodriguez.
